The Mothman Prophecies has taken a long time to come to the screen. The book on which it is based first appeared in 1975 and the major – and real - event with which it climaxes occurred in 1967. How much you believe what you see on the screen is up to you, but whether it’s true, partly true or only a little true, director, Mark Pellington’s film evokes an extremely creepy atmosphere. To enjoy it even more, try to avoid finding out what that climax is.
