SYNOPSIS:

Different subgenres are "revived" all the time... this movie looks like it might be hoping to revive the "teenage gang movie" of the 1950's? Maybe the time is right... the underlying psychology behind many of those movies was that Americans were increasingly afraid of their teenagers at some unconscious level (or at least, this is what they teach you in American Studies 101); and one of the top issues since Columbine and the other teen massacres is that Americans don't understand their teenagers (have we ever?).
